DRAFT MINUTES OF THE ANNUAL PARISH MEETING OF ADDLETHORPE HELD ON 16 MAY 2023 Following on from the Parish Council AGM AT 7.30P.M. IN THE SMALL HALL, ST PETERS HALL INGOLDMELLS
Councillors present: Chairman Cllr N. Towers (NT), Cllr M Holyer (MH), Cllr G. Escott (GE), Cllr Roger Dawson (RD), Cllr L Hand (LH), Cllr A Stubbins (AS) and Kerry Culley, Clerk.
Also present: 0 members of the public
1) Welcome
The Chairman of the Parish Council opened the meeting at 22.10 hours.
2) Approve Minutes of the Annual Parish Meeting held on 10 May 2022
The Council received the minutes from the previous Annual Parish meeting. It was agreed they were a true record of the meeting and were duly signed by the Chairman.
3) Chairman’s Annual Report
The Chairman informed the meeting the coming year would continue to be a battle to try and prevent more caravan applications being granted. The concern being that the District Council were just concerned about tourism and not the residents of Addlethorpe which was a rural community.
Cllr R Dawson confirmed he had been nominated for the planning policy committee and if successful intended to challenge the process so that the views of the communities affected were taken into account more in the decision-making process.
